Special Interest Groups
Professional Development Networks (PDNs) are CCASTD's special interest groups—informal networking groups that organize around a particular subject area or geography.
PDNs are for anyone who wishes to network with other professionals around a particular topic, process, function and/or industry.
Individual meetings are usually structured around a specific topic in which the whole group is interested.
CCASTD is proud to sponsor these PDNs:
CCASTD also has an alliance with:

The Cognitive Learning PDN focuses on the rapidly expanding field of Cognitive Neuroscience: How do people think, learn, master skills, and gain competencies?
The CLS PDN provides a forum for students, educators, and training professionals to share information, experiences, and brainstorm on the latest developments in cognitive psychology research.
By applying this research to the development of training programs, we can increase motivation, minimize the time to proficiency, and maximize the organizational investment in training.

The Corporate University PDN provides a forum for professionals involved with corporate universities to share information and network. For the purposes of the PDN, a corporate university is defined as “the strategic umbrella for developing and educating employees, customers, and suppliers in order to meet and organization's business strategies” (Corporate Universities, Jeanne Meister). Participation is open to all those who have an interest in exchanging ideas, experiences, strategies, etc. related to corporate universities.
